Rock and Road is an exciting new concept developed by the NCA (The National Cycling Academy), Try-Cycles and Oldham’s School Games Partnership
As a direct result of the huge success of this fantastic new project, the scheme has now been extended to include more Secondary schools throughout the Greater Manchester area and is also available to private individuals and other community groups
Qualified NCA Instructors will coach riders, covering route planning, local cycle routes and on road basics, followed up with a mountain bike skills course.
The MTB part of the training will utilise the newly opened trails and pump track at Crompton Moor, built and designed with the assistance of North West Riders.
NCA MTB Leaders will also be taking groups of riders up to the Dovestones area in Oldham for further training on different types of terrain.

With the expert guidance of NCA’s Instructors, you can learn new or more advanced cycling skills in a fun, controlled environment, taking in the local scenery whilst getting fit at the same time!
