Beginner
The objective of this course is to introduce the rider to the basic techniques required for recreational mountain biking

This course is set over six hours, it can be presented over two sessions or as a day course and follows the layout below:
Bike set up
Helmet fitting
Rules of the trail
Body position and balance
Negotiating obstacles
Climbing techniques
Braking techniques
Turning techniques
Hints and tips
Intermediate
This course utilises the skills gained in the beginner course to further progress or enhance the skills of those already proficient at trail riding

The course is set over six hours, over one or two sessions, and covers;
In addition to the beginner course layout:
Bunny hops
Negotiating larger trail obstacles
Climbing techniques over steep/loose climbs
Braking over loose/uneven surfaces and high speed braking
Turning techniques over loose/ uneven surfaces and tight corners
Trail obstacles and techniques
On trail quick bike fixes
Hints and tips
The Instructors coaching the Mountain Bike courses are all qualified Mountain Bike Leaders, who are passionately and actively involved in the discipline
In addition to the courses mentioned we can also provide supervised trail rides
